Dear 16 year old me
Relax.
Dude, you have a lot of shit going through your brain right now. I know you want to scream at any given moment. Let me let you in on a little secret: Mom’s had problems before you got here, she has problems now, and will continue to have problems by the time she passes away. She’s also really proud of you. She may not show it, but she really, really appreciates everything you...
So, you know when you have something good, and that it can be better if you just make a move, but you drag your feet for way too long and then that good thing moves on and then you finally realize that you just lost a great thing that you could have had all along if you had just followed your heart instead of over analyzing and now it’s too late?
Yeah. That.
Truthful Tuesday
I’m not a cryer Per Se, but I do get too emotional sometimes. Tonight at my daughters moving up ceremony, I teared up while the 6th grade band hobbled through Pomp and Circumstance. Hell, I almost just teared up to a particularly emotional episode of Star Trek: TNG.
PRO TIP: If you have even a hint of hypochondria, don’t ever empty a bowl of cocoa puffs down the toilet and forget to flush.
Trutheful Tuesday
I’ve made the same mistake time and time again, for most of my adult life. And although I know how damaging it can be, and how people can end up hurt by it, I’ll probably continue to make it for the rest of my life.
I simply can’t help myself.
When it’s raining and an elderly woman tells you the boom booms are coming, you’ll wish your mother had used a different euphemism for sex.
Sweet, sweet technology
Ren and Stimpy are available to stream via Netflix and my Xbox.
REN AND STIMPY.
So, right now I’m watching Space Madness, and the next episode is.. wait for it..
STIMPY’S INVENTION!
Happy Happy Joy Joy.
The first season of Archer is also available. if you guys need me, I’ll be parked in front of my TV geeking out on cartoons. And being really, really happy about it.
UPDATE:...
Various thoughts and observations
I took a comp day from the office and did nothing all day. I watched Star Trek: TNG, some NASA vids, surfed the net, played with my Xbox, and ate ice cream for lunch. It was AWESOME.
I don’t have any easy to find pics of me in 1978. However, it was a shitty time in my life and and I’m glad I have no pics. My contribution will be to tell you all that I lived in Hartsdale, NY.
Happy...
